For 20 years Classic Drummer Magazine has been chronicling the important contributions of music's great drummers.  Our mission is to help assure that the backbeat that has fueled the music of generations will not fade from memory, and that those who sometimes laid down their seminal grooves in the shadows would have their art illuminated.  From the inception of the modern drum set, to those who continue to inspire us, this list includes past and current artists whose music stands the test of time.

 

We invite our readers, artists and industry colleagues to cast their votes on-line using a digital ballot available at classicdrummer.com. We receive thousands of votes for each class and the results appear in the Hall of Fame edition of Classic Drummer Magazine and on this site.

 

Each year a new list of nominees is announced and a new class of inductees is honored. Each inductee receives a permanent place in the Hall of Fame archives and museum for their artifacts and works, along with the respect and appreciation of music lovers everywhere.
